The Estate contains some of the most strategic land in the North of England, wrapping around and touching the western and northern borders of Darras Hall, which is one of the prime areas of residential real estate in Northern England.

The Estate was purchased from the Church Commissioners in 2007 and comprises 2,537 acres of prime agricultural land, including 19 residential properties, and 6 farm steadings (each of which has development potential in their own right).  The Estate is uniquely located:-

  • 6 miles from the Newcastle/Gateshead conurbation
  • 3 miles from Newcastle International Airport and the Metro Light Rail System
  • Having excellent connectivity with the principle road networks running North/South (A1) and East/West (A69)
  • In an area of high land value and high demand

In a prime location favoured by developers, within the main commuting belt and in area that attracts those in the most active economic and entrepreneurial sectors. Lugano attained a ‘minded to approve’ planning permission from Northumberland County Council in March 2017 for a new Garden Village. We continue to work with the Authority to finalise legal matters.
