A £2.6 million project to convert Aerial House, Tyne Tees Television’s former headquarters, to luxury apartments was completed by growing North East based property developer, Lugano.
The development represents an investment of over £3m by Lugano and was pre-let to Dream Apartments, one of the UK’s leading companies in the serviced apartment sector.
Situated at the city end of City Road, within easy walking of Newcastle’s vibrant Quayside, the original four-storey building has been extended by a further two floors to create 28 self-contained apartments. Many of the apartments have balconies and outstanding views of the River Tyne itself.
With high quality finishes and fittings throughout, including full kitchens with dishwashers, washing machines, ovens and hobs and fridge freezers, the apartments are fully serviced with onsite secure car parking and 24-hour reception staff.
As part of the conversion and extension of the building the 30m television broadcasting aerial was demolished requiring it to be cut into sections to enable it to be removed.
